Kyle Ripley
Vocals/Guitar
Bio:
I began playing music in 4th grade. I started on piano and trombone simultaneously, and instead trombone in the school band from 4th grade all the way through high school. Guitar I picked up in 6th grade. I took professional lessons on piano and trombone, but my dad taught me the basics on guitar, and then I taught myself the rest. Probably why it was my favorite instrument to be honest.
I had some friends I would jam with here and there throughout high school, but nothing that ever really committed to much. A Green Day cover here, a Slayer cover there. But during my senior year, I started what would eventually become Oblivion Zero. Initially a cover band, we went through a few iterations and name changes before we officially became OZ in January of 2012. An EP followed shortly after, and note here we are! It might seem underwhelming to a lot of people, but I’ve experienced the vast majority of my music career with my first band, and we’re still going.
